- "You don't have to do this alone. I'm here. I'm always here."
Michael's reputation as a hero within the realm of Solaris precedes him well before he meets Nexus. Though he claims to be wary, Michael is more receptive to Nexus' proposal of a treaty between the Shrouders and Acolytes. He goes so far as to wish him luck winning over the Knights. Later, after a request from Nexus for assistance against a flying weapon developed by the Knights had been rejected by Rasandiel on the grounds they had no quarrel with the Knights, Michael led a group of Acolytes (including Rachael Lasan, Izekiel, and Gavael) aboard the weaponised vessel. Together, the two groups were able to coordinate in order to disable the flying ship.
Michael later begins actively competing with Nexus over Rachael's affections believing that she and Nexus are developing deeper feelings toward one another.
Michael is not exactly the first person you would think of at the mention of level-headed. Of course, he's not always the furthest from. He does have common sense and is often even genre savvy, but his emotions can get the better of him such that when he's being competitive or protective, he doesn't always think before he acts.
Michael has a crush on Rachael Lasan stemming from the time she joined the Acolytes. He enters into a shaky alliance with Nexus (his experience with Those That Dwell in Shadow makes him wary of Shrouders) and later begins a one-sided rivalry with him when he suspects he and Rachael are getting too close. His mentor Rasandiel tries to behave like a father, but Michael is not sure he can fully trust him. Close friends with Aer Soroval.
Michael is perhaps the shortest male character in the series at 5'5". He has messy blonde hair and blue eyes. He wears a light grey trench coat over a red vest. The coat's cuffs are fastened back and Michael's hands are gloved with black leather gauntlets. He also wears black pants and a pair of strapped brown boots with red laces.
Michael's sword is a simple weapon with a straight and narrow blade.

As EtC began as a fan-fiction for KH, Michael was later conceived as a human alternative to Mickey Mouse. Michael was originally the only character to be envisioned sans a surname.
Michael's design was originally based on the primary protagonist of Agarest GOW.
