Kazel the Dissonant Seraph is a Shrouder known for a flirtatious and charming demeanor.
Grey long-coat and black pants
The Emissary Rex once again became Regis Alustrov, wandering for many years before joining the Acolytes as Kazel the Resonant. When he contracted the "Soul Corruption", he decided to throw in his lot with Jeriko's Society and began wandering the Lunarian Darklands.
Sometimes referred to as the Fallen Angel by those who know his origins, Kazel is typically exposed to the brunt of the Society's malice. Kazel suspects these Shrouders would rather target Schilanox for his past connection to the Knights but are otherwise dissuaded due to the man's seemingly volatile personality and superior strength.
Like Silas, Kazel has a noticeable streak of egotism and arrogance.
Kazel is tanned with white hair. Despite often wearing a breathing mask, Kazel's looks are enough to earn the admiration of some female Shrouders.
- Kazel is either a combination of the diminutive form of Cassius from Latin or of Kasimir from Slavic and the suffix -el (as is the naming convention for the Acolytes). The former would mean "Vain God" whereas the latter would translate to "Destroyer of God." The name could also be a combination of prefix Ka- (meaning "pure") and Zel (diminutive of Selig from Yiddish meaning "happy").
- Regis is derived of Latin Rex meaning "king".
- Alustrov may be a combined form of the prefix Al- (meaning of the family/house) and Stroh (English meaning "brushwood").
- Kazel is an anagram of the Greek name Alekz (from Alex meaning "warrior, defender").
Alustrov is actually derived of the term "forester" spelled backwards and repeatedly re-imagined.
