Story

Xelecrawn is occasionally seen conspiring with Sordjin Raleigh, a suspected traitor within the society. This is the extent of the role he plays in Shadows Jubilee.

Diphas Claremont

The first Xelecrawn is Dominic's heir, King Diphas Lawrence Claremont. After declaring a ceasefire during the Eighty-Minute War in which both kings Abernathy and Dominic were killed, Diphas was soon after betrayed and deposed by his "brother" Dalyn who had him locked away. Shortly thereafter, he met the wayward Urik who helped him to escape. Because Diphas had been betrayed by his own army, he had to camouflage his identity. Thus the masked Xelecrawn was born.

Wanda Ruzika

The illegitimate child of Queen Miriel, Wanda was the third of three sisters. After Lauren disappeared in her pursuit of the vanished Threnody, Wanda departed from Euvaria on orders from Queen Miriel. She and Captain Halcyon seemed to be closing in on Lauren upon learning of a Euvarian warrior, Arizona Liveley, who had joined the Knights of the Order. Unfortunately, the two were split up and Wanda was captured by a rogue division of the Society. She then met Xelecrawn, who offered her the use of his armor in exchange for disappearing Dalyn Omicron.

After Xelecrawn is destroyed by Anxalia, Jeriko recovers her body, learning she is his daughter. He has Xarledan resurrect her. As a result, she becomes permanently bonded to the Xelecrawn armor, without which she would be a mindless zombie.

Personality

Xelecrawn is usually quiet, but can bluster with the best of them when insulted. He is gruff, impersonal, and somewhat conspiratorial.

Appearance

Xelecrawn's facemask resembles a metal demon complete with curling horns. His heavy plate armor causes him to lumber in a manner closely resembling large beasts. Over his armor, he typically dons a long fur-lined cloak.

Trivia

Xelecrawn is an anagram of "Lawrence X". Lawrence is a French name meaning "laurel crowned."
The name Xelecrawn means "fiery crown" in the Rienavarian language.
The name Diphas is similar in construction to Typhus from Greek meaning "smoky or hazy."
